7 Daily Habits to Raise Your Vibration
Like many people at the moment, I occasionally suffer with bouts of depression and anxiety, and this has been exacerbated by the pandemic we are all currently living through.
There have been days where I haven’t wanted to get out of bed, but since I have two young kids, I really don’t have a choice.
I have become good at recognising this for what it is; a temporary dip in my vibrational frequency, and through practice I have worked out how I can lift myself out of this state.
How? By raising my vibrational frequency.
Everything in the Universe is made of energy vibrating at different frequencies, including us!
When your vibration is high, life will seem easier, you will sleep better, and you will feel positive and full of energy. Occasionally though, our vibrational frequency can drop due to events happening around us, and when our vibration is low we can begin to feel rundown or unhappy.
If your vibration has been lower than usual lately, don’t worry, there are a few quick and easy things you can do each day to help raise it. Here’s what works for me!
Spend Time Near Water
Spending time near water has been proven to have a psychologically restorative effect, whether it’s a walk by a river or lake, or a stroll along the beach at sunset, being near the water will help calm you and clear your mind.
If you are miles from the sea, or aren’t able to get to a lake or a river, you can work with what you’ve got. Maybe there’s a fountain in your city centre, or even an outdoor swimming pool where you can spend an afternoon.
Stand Barefoot on the Earth
The Earth has it’s own vibrational frequency, and as humans, there are benefits of us having direct physical contact with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth.
Also known as ‘earthing’, walking barefoot on earth, grass, or sand has been proven to reduce stress, improve sleep, and even reduce pain and inflammation in the body!
If you are lucky enough to have a garden then try going outside barefoot while you have your morning tea of coffee, relax, and focus on feeling connected to our beautiful planet. If you don’t have a garden, try taking your shoes and socks off for a while next time you go to your local park or forest.
Drink Plenty of Water
Making sure you drink enough water can help raise your vibration by enabling the cells in your body and brain to work at their optimum levels.
The human body and brain need to be sufficiently hydrated to work at 100%. Becoming dehydrated can cause depression, anxiety, and fatigue, as well as a number of other health issues, so since drinking water is such an easy thing to do, it makes sense to make sure you stay hydrated!
It’s a good idea to keep a bottle of water with you all the time that you can sip it throughout the day to make sure you stay hydrated.
Eat High Vibrational Foods
Everything has a vibrational frequency, even food, so if you want to raise your vibration then pay attention to the types of food you are consuming. Fresh fruit, nuts, and vegetables have the highest vibrational frequency, while processed food has a very low, almost non-existent frequency.
By consuming high vibrational foods you can give your body everything it needs to function properly, which will in turn improve your health and wellbeing.
Move Your Body
Physical activity gets the blood flowing through your body, which helps to raise your vibration and allows your natural energy to flow. Exercise also releases endorphins, which trigger positive feelings in the body, reduce stress, ward off anxiety and depression, and can even help to reduce pain.
Any exercise is good, so go for a run, go to the gym, go swimming, or try following a yoga routine on youtube in your living room. Whatever works for you!
Meditate
Meditation can increase your vibrational frequency by clearing negative energy, calming and grounding you, and making you aware of your body and mind.
If you’re feeling stressed and low, take 5 minutes or more to meditate. Find a quiet place (if you’re a parent try this in the evening after your little ones are in bed), get comfortable, and meditate for as long as you feel you need to. If you are unsure about how to meditate on your own, there are loads of great free guided meditations you can follow. Just download one on your phone or computer, put in headphones if you want to drown out background noise, and relax into it.
Aromatherapy
Essential oils are known for their numerous health benefits, but did you know they they also have the highest vibrational frequency of any natural substance known to man?
You can feel the benefits of essential oils by either inhaling them or applying them topically. Some of my favourites are Lavender for relaxation, and Rose for improving mood and reducing anxiety.
